After a month of leaks and speculation, Samsung has finally announced the launch of its new smartphone series, the Galaxy M series in India. The Galaxy M10 and M20 are the first members of its new Galaxy M series. Both the smartphones feature the new Infinity–V 19:9 aspect ratio displays, Exynos processors and dual rear cameras. These smartphones will be available for purchase via Amazon.in and Samsung.com starting February 5th.
Samsung Galaxy M10
Starting with the cheapest one, the Galaxy M10 comes loaded with a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, it is powered by Exynos 7870 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. It houses 3400mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with the Samsung Experience 9.5 UI on top. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t include a fingerprint scanner but has face unlock feature for security.
As for the cameras, the M10 packs a dual camera setup at the rear, which includes a 13MP Samsung S5K3L2 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it features a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and Portrait Mode.

Samsung Galaxy M20
The bigger brother Galaxy M20 features a slightly larger 6.3-inch FHD+ 19:9 Infinity-V display which offers a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. In the inside, the Galaxy M20 is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 7904 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The phone is backed by a whopping 5000mAh battery that supports 15W Fast charging. As for the software, it also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The phone does have a fingerprint scanner as well as Face Unlock.
On the camera front, the Galaxy M20 also features the same dual rear camera setup consisting of 13MP Samsung S5K3L2 primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it packs an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Coming to pricing, the Galaxy M10 is priced at Rs. 7,990 and Rs. 8,990 for 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant and 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant respectively. The Galaxy M20 starts at Rs 10,990 for 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant, while the higher 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model is priced at Rs 12,990.
