After much anticipation, OnePlus has finally taken the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone called the OnePlus 6. The newly launched OnePlus 6 is yet another smartphone in 2018 that comes with a notch display. The smartphone is loaded with high-end specifications, decent camera, and a solid design. It’s also the first ever OnePlus flagship smartphone to have a glass back and a water-resistant body. Let’s take a closer look at what the phone has to offer.
Firstly, talking about the specs, the OnePlus 6 packs a 6.28-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display comes with a 2.5D curved glass and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz along with Adreno 630 GPU. The OnePlus 6 is offered in multiple variants- 6GB RAM paired with 64GB storage, 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. On the software front, it runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with OxygenOS 5.1 skin on top. It is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge technology.
It’s the first ever OnePlus flagship smartphone to feature a water-resistant body. The fingerprint sensor can be found at the back and is now an oval shape. The alert slider has been moved to the right side and the 3.5mm standard audio jack still remains. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and Dual-SIM.
For photography, the OnePlus 6 is packed with dual camera setup at the back, which combines a primary 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor with 1.22 µm pixel size, OIS, EIS and a f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP Sony IMX 376K secondary sensor with 1.0 µm Pixel size and a f/1.7 aperture. At the front, it comes with a 16MP Sony IMX371 sensor with 1.0 µm pixel size, EIS, and a f/2.0 aperture. The camera offers features like Portrait Mode, Panorama, HDR, HQ, smile capture, Clear Image, RAW Image and Face Beauty etc. The rear camera can also record slow-motion videos at 480 fps at 720p resolution and 240fps at 1080p resolution. Thr front camera also supports Facial recognition feature.

Price and Availability
As for the pricing, the OnePlus 6 have been priced at USD 529 for 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant, USD 579 for 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant while the higher version with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage comes in at USD 629. The OnePlus 6 will be available on May 22. As for now, the pricing and release date of the OnePlus 6 in Nepal is not assured yet.
