Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been a huge success in India. In under a month, Xiaomi managed to sell over a million of Redmi 5A units in India and now after achieving such an extraordinary milestone, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A has finally been launched in the Nepali market. The budget-focused smartphone is priced at Rs. 13,999 and will be available for purchase through Mi Nepal’s official online store.
Starting off with the design, the Redmi 5A comes with an all plastic body with a metallic matte finish on the back. The Redmi 5A has 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Inside, It runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at1.4GHz along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable by up to 128GB via a micro SD card. The phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat topped with MIUI 9 and is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. As for connectivity features, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and a Dual-SIM support. Similar to the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, the Redmi Note 5A too misses out on a fingerprint scanner.
On the camera front, the Redmi 5A sports a 13MP rear camera and f/2.2 aperture with Phase Detection Autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, there’s a 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video-calling.
