Xiaomi is expected to unveil its upcoming flagship Mi Mix 2S before Mobile world congress (MWC 2018). The unannounced Mi Mix 2s is probably going to be the successor of the most recent year’s Mi Mix 2. Prior this week, an official-looking banner was posted out on the Chinese website Weibo where it totally uncovered the image and specification details of the Mi Mix 2s. Now, let’s take a quick look at the rumored specification details about the phone.
As per the leaked banner, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to come with a 5.99-inch FullView display with its top and bottom bezels being slimmer than ever. Moreover, it is reported that the new bezel-free design is known as Full-Screen design 3.0. According to latest reports, the Mi Mix 2S will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC making it the world’s first phone to feature it. The device is suggested to come with a massive 8GB RAM along with 6GB RAM variant too. On the storage front, it will have 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, the Mix 2S will also be the first phone from the company to pack an under-display fingerprint sensor.
The device is also tipped to house a bigger battery than the Mi Mix 2. In terms of software, the device will operate on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Furthermore, reports hinted that Mi Mix 2S will be equipped with an AI-powered Face Unlock technology. As for the pricing, the Mi Mix 2S is reported to be priced at CNY 4,000 (approx Rs 64,800).
Coming to the camera, the device might feature a dual rear camera setup with a combination of one standard 12MP lens alongside another 12MP telephoto lens with Sony IMX363 sensor and on the front, there’s tiny front camera sensor at the top right corner of the phone. As seen clearly in the render, the front camera has created a slight notch at the edge of the phone.
