Google and Xiaomi launched the flagship Android One phone- Xiaomi Mi A1

Chinese Tech giant Xiaomi partners with Google to launch its first Android One smartphone- The Mi A1. Android one is the program initiated by Google to provide affordable devices and a quality android experience to the consumers. Mi A1 is the first smartphone from Xiaomi that comes with an Android Stock UI. The hardware and looks in Xiaomi Mi A1 are similar to the Mi 5x and technically is the rebranded Xiaomi Mi 5X with pure android experience.  The device is launched with the tagline “ Created by Xiaomi, powered by Google”.

Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a full metallic body and design is same as the Xiaomi Mi 5X. The device measures dimensions at 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm and weighs 168 grams. The Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch FHD display and is protected by Corning gorilla glass. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The internal storage stands at 64GB that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The device features a USB Type-C port with fast charging support to charge the 3080mAH battery. Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a stock Android UI instead of MIUI.

Talking about the camera, it features a dual camera setup on the back with 12MP standard wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. The dual camera will allow you to take blurred depth-of-field images, also called bokeh effect.The 12MP wide-angle lens camera includes a f/2.2 aperture and the telephoto lens comes with 2X optical zoom with an aperture of f/2.6. The camera also supports phase detection auto focus and Dual LED Flash. In the front, there is a 5MP front facing camera for shooting selfies which come with beauty mode features.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 also comes with 10V Smart PA and DHS audio calibration for enhancing the audio quality. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM and USB Type-C.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 is priced at Rs.14,999(NRS. 29,999) in India and is available in three different colors; Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. The phone would be available from September 12. Well, the good news is India is not the only country to get hands-on the device but other countries are also getting the device. The device is expected to launch in 40 different other regions around the world and of course, Nepal is included in the list.
