Xiaomi announced the launch of Mi Note 2 Special Edition on 11th July. The special edition is an upgrade to Mi Note 2 which was released in November 2016. Rumors about Xiaomi releasing Mi 6 Plus as its next smartphone was taking over the internet, but the truth finally unveiled yesterday as they launched the new Special Edition variant of Mi Note 2.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Special Edition

Everyone expects for several changes if a company launches a Special Edition of their former product. Xiaomi has made some little configuration to make the smartphone special. Here is what’s new with the Special Edition.

Basically, every other features and specification of the phone are same as Mi Note 2 except for the upgraded RAM and ROM configuration. Mi Note 2 Special Edition is integrated with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone is embedded with the latest 2.35GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The phone features 5.7-inch curved edge AMOLED display with Full HD (2K) resolution. It is integrated with Sony IMX318 sensor, 22.5 MP rear camera and IMX268 sensor, 8MP sharp selfie shooting front camera. It supports quick charge 3.0 powered with 4070mAh battery which boasts up the battery life. The fingerprint scanner is adapted on the rear.

Price of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Special Edition

The original price of the smartphone is tagged with the amount of CNY 2899 (yuan) which would be approximately $426, the phone is costly in comparison to Mi 6 however, Xiaomi Inc is offering a discount amount of CNY 300 (yuan) which positions the smartphone to be priced at CNY 2599 (yuan) which would be approximately $382. The phone is available only in black color. The pricing and release date of the Mi Note 2 Special Edition in Nepal is not assured yet.
