Razer has today officially announced its first ever smartphone, the Razer Phone. With the launch of the new phone, the company has finally entered into the smartphone world and clearly, it’s a great first step. Being a gaming-focused company, it is no surprise that the phone would pack some serious hardware specs. Some highlight of the phone includes 120hz Ultra-motion display, 8GB RAM, 4,000mAh battery and dual rear cameras.
The phone features 5.7-inch Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440-pixels) 120hz ultraMotion display. It is said that the 120hz Ultra-motion display delivers the smoothest graphics performance than any other smartphone in the market. The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset accompanied by a whopping 8GB of RAM and a 64GB internal Storage. The onboard storage can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. It is backed up by a large 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0+ that charges up the phone from 0% to 85% in an hour.
The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box but the company has mentioned that they will start to roll out Android Oreo update to their new phone in the first quarter of 2018.
On camera department, the phone has a Dual (12MP f/1.75 wide+12MP f/2.6 zoom) rear cameras with dual PDAF and dual-tone flash and on the front, it has an 8MP front-facing shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
The phone comes with two powerful front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos support that offers excellent audio performance. And also it’s the world first phone to come with THX-certified front-facing speakers. There is no headphone jack included in the device, which is a bit underwhelming.

The Razer phone is priced at $699(Rs 72,000 approx) in the U.S and the company has already started taking pre-orders. If you decide to pre-order, you can do so by checking out the company official website. The device will begin shipping on November 17th.
