Ahead of the expected flagship the U12+, HTC made a surprising launch of yet another set of wallet-friendly smartphones. The lately revealed HTC’s handset falls under the Desire series, the HTC Desire 12 and 12 Plus. These two smartphones are the best-looking entries in the Desire series to the date. HTC Desire 12
Although both the handset appears to be similar at a glance, they are distinguished inside with discrete specifications. HTC Desire 12 comes with the 5.5-inches HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. The liquid surface glass design and minimal bezel sitting on top make the Desire 12 looks very appealing. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6739 processor coupled with either 2GB or 3GB RAM varying on the model. The internal storage of 16GB/32GB is attached to the board whereas, external storage is expandable up to 2TB.

Jumping into the camera section, HTC Desire 12 sports a 13MP rear camera having f/2.2, autofocus and LED Flash. Upfront the phone is equipped with a 5MP camera with f/2.4, 1.12 µm pixel size, 720p recording. The handset is backed by a 2730 mAh Battery. The phone runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo along with the HTC Sense UI on top.
HTC Desire 12+
Among the two of HTC’s lately unveiled handsets, HTC Desire 12+ offers a bit more generous specs. It comes with a larger 6-inches HD+ display with the same resolution and aspect ratio as the Desire 12. In fact, the Desire 12+ holds the biggest display in the Desire series till the date. Not only the bezel-less display is the significant upgrade. But the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC is also a plus point. The processor is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage which is expandable up to 2TB via MicroSD.

Talking about optics, HTC Desire 12+ sports a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera with f/2.2, autofocus and LED Flash. Whereas, an 8MP camera with f/2.0, and 1080p recording is available upfront. The phone houses a 2965 mAh battery to back it up. The phone runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo along with the HTC Sense UI on top.
