The much-awaited Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus has finally made its way to Nepali market. Mi Nepal, the company confirmed the launch of the phone on its official Facebook page today. The Redmi 5 Plus is taken as a budget-friendly smartphone and has been launched carrying a price tag of Rs.23,499 in Nepal. The smartphone can be purchased via Mi Nepal’s official website or through their outlet store situated at LABIM MALL.

Talking about the design and build quality, the Redmi 5 Plus has a great build quality as the phone features an aluminium unibody design and also has rounded corners just like the Redmi 4. As for the screen, the phone has a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD 18:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels and 2.5D curved glass. In the inside, powering the device is an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It features 3GB of RAM clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU and 32GB internal storage which is expandable for up to 128GB through microSD card. The Redmi 5 Plus houses a 4,000mAh non-removable battery. On the software front, it runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The fingerprint sensor is fitted at the back panel of the phone. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Dual-Hybrid sim support. The Redmi 5 Plus measures 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05 mm and weighs 180 grams.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Redmi 5 Plus packs a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and Dual-LED flash. On the front, there’a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies and video-calling.
