Samsung has today unveiled a new mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy J7 Duo in Nepal. The new Galaxy J7 Duo is the first phone in the J series to boast a dual rear camera setup. The phone is priced at Rs. 28,890 and comes in in black and gold colour options. It is now available for purchase at Samsung Nepal’s retail outlets.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display bearing a resolution of 720 x 1080 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. Inside, it is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7 series processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. On the software side, the Galaxy J7 Duo operates on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with support for Bixby AI assistant and Samsung’s Experience UI running on top. Under the hood, it is fuelled by a 3,000mAh non-removable Li-ion battery. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the front. As for the connectivity, the phone offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-SIM, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS.
In the optics department, the Galaxy J7 Duo packs a dual rear camera setup, including a 13-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensors which is accompanied by f/1.9 aperture and LED Flash. At the front, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The front camera also includes ‘Selfie Focus’ mode and facial recognition feature to unlock the phone.
